Hexapod robot - test run
« on: December 14, 2011, 05:41:55 PM »
 ;D ;D

was trying to test this hexapod robot..

then the bluetooth module gave up..

removed the bluetooth module then connect the servo controllers sa pc using usb to uart module... was able to make the hexapod stand then after a while, habang minomonitor ang temperature ng mga servo, may nangamoy, at heto sya...

yung mga servo na gamit sa hexapod na ito ay galing sa alibaba and ebay, and they were NOT ORIGINAL Tower Pro SG90 Servo's, japeyks kumbaga... nilagyan lang nila ng sticker.. was able to purchase them for around 2 to 3 dollars each lang... original Tower Pro SG90 Servo has a TP marking at the bottom plate of the servo..

cheap lang sya kapag wholesale and designed nga... for aeroplane.
then again. ayun nga you get what you pay for.

yung original single chip lang. walang apat na external mosfet/transistor h-bridge.

wala atang micro except dun sa micro na nasa module.
sir toasted siopao is using this module:
http://e-gizmo.com/KIT/servo16.htm
and the bluetooth module is directly connected to it i think.
see the pdf of the module.

I used the rechargeable battery from e-gizmo, SLB-1674 yung model, bilhin mo na rin sa kanila yung charger na kasama. If you are asking about sa microcontroller na gamit to produce na PWM, wala ako ginamit, instead ginamit ko yung 16 servo controller ng e-gizmo, dalawa nun to control the 18 servo.

Yung pag control nung gaits or yung sequence ng movement ng legs, gamit ko is pc kasi I am still testing the gaits.

Ok naman ang arduino mega to control servo pero I am not sure if they can drive servo motors simultaneously, the beauty of using servo controller is that yung pag-update ng servo sa position nya ay independent na sa main controller mo.
