But I have  personally tested a SE T610 (w/ BT) and its ok.  Maganda sa SE, it works directly with 5V logic  so no level translation needed   ... the bad, hindi full featured AT commands ang supported ng phone.  Like you have to retrieve message from the phone,  it is unable to send the SMS directly to the MCU.

Ang the best ay ang mga Nokia phones, the one that uses DKU-5 data cable kasi lahat ng AT commands at features, halos parehas sa sim900 na gsm module.  Its just a bit tricky to make the datacable work and some level translation is also needed.

Personally tested ko:

Nokia3310 (using FBUS)
Nokia 6210 (using dlr3p data cable)
Nokia 6610 (using DKU5 data cable)
SE T610 (pwede direct connection to the MCU)
Siemens TC35 GSM Module

what is that suppose to mean? am i missing something? ;D ;D ;D
if you would only know what you can do with SE phone and AT command ;D ;D ;D
i tried AT with nokia, se, samsung, and motorola, lumalabas nokia supports the least standard phone AT.

Like you have to retrieve message from the phone,  it is unable to send the SMS directly to the MCU.
i retrieve msg from phone or sim ng SE phone. san pa ba pwd magretrieve sir alyas?

sabi nila pwede daw SE T230
for the record. lahat ng SE na T68 family (11pin port), T230 or even T306 na unit ni ts, may tx rx pins na pwd direct interface to mcu with uart. ;D ;D ;D

I forgot to mention, I also tried Samsung, same like Nokia.

SE does not support AT+CNMI=2,2,0,0,0, it only supports AT+CNMI=2,1,0,0,0.  Nokia supports almost all the AT+CNMI options.
AT+CNMI=2,2,0,0,0, when a message is received, it is immediately sent to the mcu.  You do not need to issue a AT+CMGR to read the message from the phone or sim memory.

May workaround ba ito mga masters?
Or pooling lang ba ang possible sa SE phones?
Ang latest na globe tattoo(HUAWEI E1552) hindi rin supported ang AT+CNMI. :(
