PAST MATH CONTESTS........wahaha!!!!

anyone in this prestigious forum na naka-encounter na ng mga past math contests? share your thoughts naman oh.....we really love to hear it from you guys....let's start with.........

hmmpf, sa skul lng po. all 3rd yr EEs quiz show. includes math and electrical engineering subjs.
Ayun, champion tapos kinuha ako pra itrain lumban sa math wizard, RQS, kea lng nag quit nko. auko ng gnun, d ako nag eenjoy.. mas gus2 ko yung "simpleng marunong lang".

para sakin titulo lang yun eh.

as a college freshman, nakasali ako ng National Statistics Quiz. Hindi ako nakaplace man lang, UPLB yung champion 

Sumali din ako ng math wizard competition sa school namin during my 2nd year. I was the first to get eliminated  , it was an embarassing experience since i'm the favorite of the math profs at the school. I never joined the next year, since i realized im really a moron when faced with a simple yet tricky math problems na binibigay sa mga competitions na ganito.

I could solve very difficult engg math problems given as an assignment for the weekend, pero math wizard questions with 30 second time limit, wala talaga akong talent

ok lang yan. sabi nga sa mga Higher IQ Societies (<140, not including MENSA), time is not a factor. yung exam kasi nila kahit i-take mo ng months or years, ok lang. hindi kailangan ng pabilisan.

same here. , nakakapressure ang mag solve ng math problems within few seconds..

During high school, I was a Math Olympiad contestant on year 1988. Also has 30 second limit to answer tricky questions.
I was very lucky and been to the nationals but have not won.  It was a great experience.

champion po yung team namin sa MTAP regional level nung 4th yr HS ako.  Kaso di ko masyado naramdaman accomlishment kasi yung kasama ko ang sagot ng sagot (sobrang galing kasi niya ako nakatingin na lang, sabi kasi ng trainor ko yun na lang gawin ko at mag check ng unit).  Never akong nagiging leader/tagapagdala before. Sa college sumasali parin ako sa indiv at teams sa loob ng school namin may panalo may talo but you know what mas enjoy sa ganito (mas mahirap manalo ksi wlana yung kasma kong magaling) pero ramdam ko yung accomplishment kasi ako ang inaasahan ngayon ng group namin.Lalo na pag nanalo,at least I know I contibute so much because of my efforts.ALA NGA LANG PERA ksi mahal ang mga pacontest.
