I'm using a 10mm led from deeco. i've replaced the value to fit my inductor. Can any of you provide some basis for the design like the computation so that I can maximize the value that I can use. I don't know if the RCL meter I used is correct but I only have 3.45 mH.

Can this be used for Luxeon LED 3.3V, 250ma?, i.e. I will use 3 AA (3 x 1.2) = 3.6V.

Will it work?

it may work but it is better if you have a constant current source to protect the LED. Mahal pa nman nyan.

250mA, i think that circuit is not capable of delivering even a 200mA output current.

pwede rin sya driver sa mga laser(nabibili sa muslim), tested ko na po na hindi over-driven.
1.2volts na lang ang natitira sa battery pero malinaw pa rin ang laser.

Here is my version:

The coil was from a nokia charger.

you can use those resistor type 100uH inductors from an original nokia phone charger :)
