AFAIK, yung common is yung Base. Correct me if baliktad po. Or better have this tester. :D

Bakit ba walang tutorial dito kung paano malaman ang EBC terminal which is which?

TRANSISTOR TESTER

baliktad Asimo.. Collector is high resistance, then low resistance is emitter..then base is common .if BLACK probe is common then it is NPN, if RED then it is PNP. :D  (BASED SA SILICON TRANSISTOR)
USING a Japanese standard tester(Sanwa) pero makukuha mo lang ang reading if your analog multitester has a 10kohms setting.
di ito mkukuha sa 1k at 100kohms settings. ;D

sis , di pa tapos tester mo:
http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?topic=33683.0

B-E will read slightly higher forward voltage than B-C, mas doped kasi 'yung emitter than collector.

Na amazed ako noong bata pa ako magpaputok tuwing pasko using magnetic wires 20 meters long. It would not have been possible without the xtor.

Meron ako noong book, ABC's of a Transistor.
I am not sure if yan ba talaga ang title.
Sa bandang katapusan meron steps pag locate sa B-E-C ng xtor, in-circuit or out of the circuit.

Pero madali lang naman malaman saan ang base and if NPN or PNP ba. ;D

The world's technology is always changing, no doubt about it, and I hope it’s a while yet before it impacts my ability to tinker.

Maraming salamat po mga master for that clarification.. ;D ;D

+1 sir ? ? ? for opening it again, +1 for sir rd, deantyne, lurker, and kalky14 for clarifying. ;D

^ merong mga transistor from different manufacturers (generic) na iba ang pinout from datasheet kaya minsan 'di ako nagtitiwala sa datasheet lang lalo na pag Chinese 'yung gumawa. :D

Meron kapa palang net sir.
