MCU starter advice for noob
« on: January 29, 2012, 11:55:18 AM »

1) starter kit for Atmega and PIC
    a) yung merun po dito sa pinas
    b) pwede rin po na homemade
    c) cheapest but still has quality

2) electronics/mechatronics books
    a) hard or soft copy can do
    b) must have the basics of electronic circuitry and etc

3) stores where i can buy robotic parts
    a) i'd like to start on mobots
    b) robotic arm set

thanks for your time

punta ka sa egizmo, then choose from the following:

1. gizduino
2. pinguino
3. zilog based arduino platform

books, you can download from the internet or ask questions sa forums also..

for starters, don't go with mobot agad, try blinking a led, and pag-aralan mo mo mabuti internal functions ng core na gagamitin mo, uart, interrupts, etc.. kapag nagamay mo mga ito, kahit ano gusto mo ipagawa sa micro mo, basta kaya ng specs, magagawa mo.

welcome to the club.

nakita ko yung tank dito sa elab, I agree ,, its a must have item,, tama po,, taga baguio po ako, san mu pwede bumili nung tank?

san po maganda magstart, PIC or Atmega?

though pansin ko po na madami gumagamit ng PIC dito, anu po advantage ng PIC over other MCU's?

Gizduino is an arduino compatible development board for electronics.
You can order via LBC in egizmo.

heres the code:

// dimmer led test with Pinguino (PWM example)

#define PIC18F4550

// pin where the led is connected
#define LED 11
// PWM pins only are the PIN 11 and 12.

void setup()
{

}

void loop()
{
  unsigned int a;

  for (a=0;a<1023;a++) {
    analogWrite(LED,a);
    delay(1);
  }
  for (a=1023;a>0;a--) {
    analogWrite(LED,a);
    delay(1);
  }
}

pwede po ba explain per line,  ;D

honestly, hindi ko nagets yung explanation nya sa site:
