looking for undergrad job
« on: January 29, 2012, 01:22:40 PM »
i am 5th year BS Computer Engineering and i'm not sure if i can graduate
due to financial reasons.. is there an computer related undergrad job except call centers
that can help me finish my education?

i'm not a master in programming but i believe in my skills and i'm easy to teach due to
my background in C++, java, html, little of php and assembly.. i have knowledge on how to diagnose
a laptop/desktop for problems, i also have knowledge in PIC micro controller programming in MikroC
and also Visual Basic 6.0.. i believe with a period of time in training i can work without supervision..

any suggestions guys?

thanks in advance ^_^

And why not a call center? If your verbal skills are as good as your written English then you can be employed at a call center. You will earn well enough to finish your final year.

I don't think there's a computer related job that will allow you to earn as much. And as you have admitted, you still have to be trained to become useful. Even if you are good, potential employers will look at you and think that if they spend money training you, will you stick around long enough before makabawi sila.

If you insist on avoiding a call center job and want a computer related one, you can work repairing computers. How's that for an option?

If you're main goal is to complete your course by being employed, call center employment will be the fastest way. I've had a classmate who once worked at a call center to finish up Electronics Engineering, and now he's working in a large software company.
