Hard Disk Failure

Mga sir, may mai-susgest po kayong way (better way ;D) na gagawin para di ko po muna mapalitan yung HDD ko? Nagdown kasi yung HDD ng laptop ko and kung rereformat ko, ayaw tumuloy. May advise kasi ang OS na wag daw dun na partition ilagaya ang OS kasi may tendency daw na bumigay yung HDD. Yung plan ko lang po kasi is to install the OS sa good partition which is D: coz i assume na sira na talaga lahat ng sectors ko sa C:. Kaya lang, eto po yung problem ko, nadelete ko na pala pati partition D ko and while I am having my OS installation today, ayaw nya ng tumuloy. Any advice po mga sir? Mahal na kasi ang HDD dito eh. 500 GB for 5,000+. Kakabutas po ng bulsa. ;D

hatiin mo yung harddisk mo ng marami at subukan mo kung saang partition tutuloy.

I have already tried breaking it into 4 partitions. Ayaw tumuloy lahat.

Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070015

FDD kasi yung ginamit ko na installer. NetBook po kasi eh. Try ko gumamit ng ibang software pangtransfer ng OS. Salamat mga sis. ;D ;D +1 sa inyo lahat. ;D Update ko lang ang result.

May built-in floppy ang netbook?

Or a floppy hooked through the USB port? In that case, mas madali gumamit ng USB flash drive.

Gumamit ng UltraISO to copy the Windows 7 DVD installer to the USB drive.

Kung Seagate, baka covered ng warranty? Napalitan ko ang sa akin. RMA is 7 araw lang ang turn around time.

Flash Disk po pala sir. WinToFlash po kasi na software ang ginamit ko. Baka yung pag-copy ang mali. Dinadownload ko palang po yung bagong software. Migrate Easy po sir. Hindi na raw po covered ng warranty sabi po ng computer shop na nabilhan ko. More than 1 year narin po kasi to skin eh.

Yung Seagate ko more than 2 years nga. Actually ginagamit ko pa sa laptop ko until nag upgrade ako to momentus XT.  Chineck ko sa Seatools pero bagsak sa basic testing.

Direct sa Seagate ko pina RMA not sa local distro. Pinadala ko via LBC sa shipper nila sa Paranaque. That shipper will repack it for shipment to Singapore. Tapos papalitan nila with a repaired unit and ship it directly to your address.

Kung Seagate, pwede mo i-check using Seatools. Pag failed, then i-check mo sa website ng Seagate kung covered sa warranty and apply for RMA. May shipping instructions.

Seagate nga po sya sir. Bootable na po ba ang Seatool? Di na po kasi sya pumapasok sa OS nya. Or pwede po bang i-slave scan ko sya sir? Salamat po sa advise.

My DOS versions ang Seatools na bootable from CDROM or USB drive.

Pwede i-attach sa gumaganang PC and check from Windows. Ang advantage is pwede niya launch ang browser to the RMA website and help fill out the forms.
