Hi, my name is Jeremy Green, British, moved to Cebu last January and love it here (I have
been visiting since 2006...)

My original background was in electronic engineering, but moved to software development.

I am still very interested in technology and electronics and I was hoping to set up a makerspace
community here in Cebu. If anyone is interested in open source hardware/software, robotics,
diy electronics, microcontrollers, etc, and is in the Cebu area I would love to know.

Finding it really hard to source electronic components over here though !!!

hi jeremy, im from tacloban city few miles away from cebu. im an electronics retailer here in my place. i get products/supplies from e-gizmo.com and 1DIYcentre.com ( c/o sir Dandy or Maybe try Richa)

Thank you Sir,  I have been supplying goods and product to other country and have friendly cooperation with http://www.1diycentre.com in Philippines.  In past week,  I help some guys to ship several BGA rework Station, SMD rework station and Arduino Maple STM32 and SMD components.  I think that, dandy is busy maybe due to many shows in China this week untill end of the month.

Hello Jeremy,  the plane ticket to go to Cebu from HK is extremely expensive it sounds like triple the normal fee, I missed the important week in Philippines, but I go to other city where many Chinoy, and still have the taste of Filipino dishes and seen some Filipino guys and have shopping at SM, follow me at    http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?topic=26329.480

Finally got my Arduino and components. I used Farnell and RS components to see what they are like, I cannot say I was impressed
with the speed of delivery and the leds I ordered seem to be failing for some reason.

I did drop by E-Gizmo while I was in Manila, what a cool and friendly place. A dangerous place to visit for my wallet I am sure I
will be ordering or returning there at some point in the future. I wish I could have carried an Oscilloscope on as hand luggage for
the return trip !
