I was having a light reading about SMPS and skin effect is one of the consideration. and so I have to read about skin effect.

generally, skin effect is the tendency of high frequency AC to pass only on the skin of the conductor.
Quote
At 60 Hz, the skin depth of a copper wire is about 1⁄3 inches (8.5 mm). At 60 kHz, the skin depth of copper is about 0.01 inches (0.25 mm). At 6 MHz[5], the skin depth is about 0.001 inches (25 µm). Round conductors larger than a few skin depths don't conduct much current near their axis, so that material isn't used effectively.
litz wire daw ang ginagamit na wire para di masayang ang inner part ng conductor.

at dahil dito, nalaman ko na Litz wire pala ang ginagamit sa coil ng induction cookers.

yes sir, I guess that will work just fine.

basta ginagamit ang tube-like conductors to lessen the cost of the material.
pati na din ang weight and flexibility of the conductor.

copper tubes are also used in very sort wave transmitters, precisely because of skin effect....

use refrigerator coil tubes. they are hollow. buy from a scrap store. they would be pretty cheap. you could introduce water cooling to the coil.
