uy, Piona sister, try mo nga ng simple coil and see how much surrent can you draw from that antenna. I have the numbr of turns sa book ko. will post later...u might be able to charge you cellphone.....maybe not really but interesting if you are so near.

yong tuned ckt lang tapos lagay sa ground libre na fm sa amin, kaya lang pati telepono may background ng station hehehe...yong antenna ng station may limang tube light na umiilaw kahit nakahang lang don sa tore nila .

yup! makaka-harvest ka ng "free" electricity dyan, pero may "disadvantage" din ba ang malapit sa radio transmitters that has 20KW transmitting power? health hazard?

'di naman masyado, kasi kapag masyado kang malapit sa antenna ng tore, mostly, nasa shadow area ka nung antenna, mas mababa ang radiation or 'yung gain ng antenna sa portion na 'yun. minsan, one of the sidelobes na lang ang responsible sa received signal.

same case din sa mga may tore/cellsite sa building, halos walang signal sa ilalim ng tore dahil papalayo ang pattern ng antenna. kaya kung papansinin, 'yung mga mall/condo/building na may cellsite, gumagamit pa rin sila ng antenna sa loob ng building dahil nga sa radiation pattern nung antenna na pa-mushroom/payong, at walang pababa o pataas sa gitna.

sa AM iba ang kaso. ground wave kasi siya, 'yung earth ang kalahati ng antenna.

totoo ba yan rd na walang signal o mahina ang signal ng cellsites sa ibaba nito? at hindi ito signal-to-ground na transmission?

yup, same case sa WiFi antennas. kaya lang merong signal sa ilalima or ibabaw dahil sa reflection. parang pagsindi mo ng flashlight, 'yung tinututukan mo lang ng flashlight ang maliwanag, 'yung aninag sa flashlight mismo at sa kamay dahil lang sa reflection.

normal na 'yang pinapa-barangay. isa 'yan sa nae-encounter ng pinsan ko sa trabaho niya sa telco. isa lang naman habol ng barangay diyan at 'di naman sila tumututol. :-X

so yong sa malapit mahina lang at dispersed naman ang signal papuntang malayo.

hindi 'yung malapit sir, 'yung directly above and below the antenna. kung ivi-visualize kasi 'yung donut-shaped omni, walang signal sa ibabaw at ilalim. magkakaroon lang ng signal dahil sa reflection sa mga pader, etc.

same case sa flourescent light ('yung pahaba). shadow lang 'yung sa ends niya, nagkakaroon lang ng ilaw dahil sa reflection, at konti dahil sa diffusion nung ilaw sa loob.
