clipping is a form of distortion, a gross type of distortion....

yung sa leach, protection ng output trannies yon so that the SOA of the output trannies is not violated...whenever there is a tendency for operation outside the SOA, dives to the bases of the output trannies are curtailed to prevent damage...

^it is the load that determines current flow....now kung hindi kinaya ng driver masusunog na lang sya....

Bale kapag walang VI limiter ok lang na mag drive ng low impendance load as long as kaya ng driver/output transistors at power supply? Ang titignan nalang ay kung kaya ng driver/output trannies yung current? Tama po ba.. thanks

Di po ba yung current sa base ng output trannies ay galing sa drivers? so ang nililimit ay yung driver current? tama po ba o mali?

Gusto ko sanang matuto kung pano gumagana ang amp, any suggestion for books? Thanks

given na po yun sir, Yung nakapost kasi sa link sabi magcclip daw pag kinulang ng base current yung drivers, (kahit na kaya ng trafo at output trannies)

When the base current of the drivers is kulang - meaning not enough to generate enough collector current needed by the load, the drivers will operate in "current limited" mode. Since the collector current needed is not supplied, the voltage generated across the load will be lower than expected (Ohm's law) thus the effect is similar to clipping.

tama ka....as explained above the voltage at the load will be smaller than otherwise...
