testing board to find shorted

i've been using my digital DC power supply in cellphone repair. I've noticed that whenever the cellphone unit is shorted the reg. P.s. automatically turns zero volt. I wonder if I can use it in other electronic stuff like motherboard of pc, Tv etc...

gamit ka muna ng tester,thru by resistance check malalaman kung shorted ang cp o hindi.

Sa cellphone applicable yan to determine if may short sa circuit since kaya i power ng digital DC power supply yung unit.
Pero sa TV at PC motherboard hindi uubra yan. ??? Maybe to test a particular section pwede pero as a whole,malabo. ;D

gamit ko dati bruteforce approach pagdating sa mga short...;D

5VDC @ 12Amps....lalabas talaga kung sinu yung shorted...:P

ingat lang sa maliliit na traces ng PCB....;D

pagna trace ko na may shorted at ito ay mataas na resistance pwedeng unang tanggalin isa isa ang smd na capacitor(ito yung filter sa dc supply).kung grabe ang shorted at mababa ang resistance(almost zero ohm) pwedeng PA o power ic ang salarin,
