audio mixer using LF347
« on: May 20, 2012, 01:03:19 AM »
good day po mga master!

scene: gumawa po ako ng audio mixer using LF347 with 4 input channels using all the 4 op amps inside in a non-inverting topology

question: ano po kaya cause nito?and possible solution?

Tingnan mo kung walang maling nalagyan ng supply yung output ng 1 part ng opamp, making it operate in class-A mode, at ito ang nagpapainit sa kanya.

Sir at sis, eto po ung schematic ng ginawa kong circuit with actual values po..ung tracks sa pcb ay tama nmn po ayon dito at malinis din po: (same input is from cellphone headset jack)

Mga masters na ang bahalang humusga

                              LF147            LF347B/LF347
Supply Voltage          ±22V             ±18V

^Di ba dapat unity gain first stage then yung second stage , gain should be equal to two?

2 to 5 is ok.

Check the Datasheet for the electrical Characteristics of an I.C.

For me  +/-18v of supply is maximum. I highly recommended to use a regulated -/+15v power supply, 7815 for +15v, 7915 for -15v with a 10µF/25 filter capacitor connected from the output of the Voltage regulator to avoid a "Humming" sound.

Check your PCB if any possible errors:
1. Shorted Foil Paths
2. The power supply terminal must be a few inches away from the input and output. - this can cause oscillations that can heat up the IC.
3.Proper Supply Voltage. - This is VERY CRITICAL.( It must be NOT more than 10% higher than the required voltage. Example: 15V x 10% = 1.5v. then the MAXIMUM Voltage is 15v + 1.5v = 16.5v)
4. Disoriented Components. - common problem for beginners and when you're sleepy/absent minded.(It sometimes happen to me.)

Bypass both +/- 15 volts with 0.1uf 50v near each IC..
