cool kasam na rin yan sa todo list ko,buti hindi na mahihirapan magresearch, hehehe,
in english:that a cool project, i will add that in my TODO list. Im glad you posted it so i dont have to waste time making research
foreigner kasi siya.I believe there are already ASIC's made to decope MP3 files. can't remember it's exact name but it was used on an AVR Butterfly project to play MP3 files.
most of the self coded MP3 decoding MCU's were using ARM. based on them, it requires lots of processing power and memory (RAM usage were in the kB range).perhaps dsPIC's can also handle them.
since CD-ROM and Compact Flash share a common interface, perhaps this can also be done for Compact Flash drives. then a portable version could be made.
this is cool! i have to add this to my TODO list also.does it only play audio CDs? hopefully someone adds an MP3 playing capability to the program. I believe this will require different programming and F877 may not be sufficient (I don't know!) I may have already read similar project like this. That was 7 years ago. unfortunately, it din't add to my TODO list since i don't have yet an idea of how to deal with MCUs...is this an english zone? hehehe
