Sa DMM i like the continuity test and the BJT hfe test. Sa analog naman yung ohmeter test for diodes, capacitors, and LEDs

atsaka sa linear measurement ng voltage drop maganda gamitin ang analog kasi makikita mo talaga na pagalawgalaw yung needle di tulad sa digital yung ibang digital meter talagang magalaw

Ako I also prefer analog and digital. Tanda ko pa nung panel interview tapos pinagdemo ako sa paggamit ng tester ung analog ginamiit ko tapos pinakita ko pa proper calibration before using. yun ok nman tanggap me.

for me both,why?for monitoring the variation of very small amount of current and voltage(ma/mv) eh digital is the best and if you want to carry-out out of circuit test of elex components like x'tor,diode,capacitor & resistor and of course to check the continuity eh analog is the best.i'm using fluke process meter and sanwa mutitester.thanks....

Analog for troubleshooting and testing components.

ako rin ginagamit ko sa capacitor, diode , transistor ang analog yung sa digital naman sa volt kasi palagay ko mas accurate siya. (check me if I'm wrong, not related sa electronic course ko.) at sa resistor

I use Analog for:
   - For quick troubleshooting. Kadalasan ay kailangan mo lang makita ay yung deflection.
   - capacitor check
   - diode forward/reverse
   - open/close circuit
   - DC/AC voltages/current.


Digital tester for me is best for:
   - measuring voltages/current specially when the frequecny (sinewave) is beyond 60Hz
     (Sanwa CD800a is capable of measuring voltages at 40-400Hz)
   - when monitoring voltages/current at a certain period
   - Capacitance and Inductance measurements
   - HFE measurements
   - measuring frequencies/duty cycles
