yung biomed applications eh under sa instrumentation and control lab...yung samples ng gawa nila ay device na automated nagsesend ng vital signs sa doctor, ECG application sa cellphone, Pagmap ng something sa brain (similar sa MRI), pangcounter ng sleep apnea, etc...

As far as i know we are using telemetry type if your referring to wireless. pero di masyadong dinevelop ito kasi nga subject sya sa noise and interference. kaya kung napansin mo kahit sa mga malalaking hospital ayaw sa wireless.

ECG is an acronym foe ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH,  by the word itself sa heart ang application nito. meaning the graphical representation of the heart beat. mababasa ng duktor kung may problema ka sa heart. if you have seen this medical equipment. sa attachment pa lang ng patient cable sa patient sakop na yung buong cell phone mo sa connector pa lang. kaya impossible na cellphone ang gamitin mo. If your refering to HOLTER yes baka pwede pa. but it uses magnetic tape to record the heart beat of patient. kung may skip beat yung heart. subject for venticular blockage or MI. myocardial infraction.

Pag map ng something sa brain. your referring to EKG. its different from MRI Magnetic resonance imaging. using strong magnetic. EKG is for brain wave, MRI is for whole body application. similar to CTSCAN.

Madami narin akong nhawakan kaso di pa ako maxadong bihasa sa radiology(scanning/imaging). karamihan is mga patient monitoring and support equiupment. San mo nkuha biomed degree mo?

Cguro gwa ka ng thread para sa biomed resources, i believe madami kang ebooks etc...

hmmm... pwde cguro sa theoretical area pero malbo na sa practical kc kelangan mo ng actual machine pra sa troubleshooting. kelangan mo din ng background sa mga medical and nat sci subjects.

Yes pwede, saan ba tayo mag start. mahirap kasi madaming division. Kung sa Imaging ka. sakop ang X-ray, ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI, Mammography.
Kung Diagnostic ka naman sa Laboratory ka. Chemistry Analyzer, Hematology, Microscope, Centrifuge,

As of now im in Dialysis Machine. Fresenius Brand. Medyo maselan ang equipment na ito dami ka i calibrate, temperature, pressure, speed, volume chemistry, etc.
Kaw san ka nag wowork today?

yung sa ECG app for cellphone ay hindi sa cellphone per se kung hindi holter monitoring tas coconect sa phone using bluetooth, tas yung phone yung magsesend ng ECG sa doctor. my apologies...

ok lang yan, at lease we're exchanging knowledge and ideas.
There are threre types of cardio monitoring.
1. ECG, ito yung for diagnostic. 10 leads ang tawag, ito yung complete examination para malaman kung may sakit a puso ang patient.
2. is HOLTER yan yung nasa link mo. 24 hour monitoring yan. para malaman ng ductor kung may skip beat yung heart ng patient,posible nga yan kai 3 to 4 lead lang ang required.
3. is bed side monitor or cardiac monitor ang tawag, yan yung ginagamit a ICU, para malaman yung improvement or monitoring ng vital sign ng patient. usually 4 to 5 parameters yan. temperature. pulse, bp cardiac, respiration.

madaming division-kya exciting ang field ng biomed.
I know fresenius. one of the leading brands of hemodialysis units. very complicated xa. axtually my 15 units kmi dito sa hospital pero my tech support kmi from manila. cya incharge sa maintenance kc skanila kmi kumukuha ng consumables at spare parts. nagaasist lang ako kpg my repairs sa mga units. hehehe
