help nmn po about Infrared as a switch..

meron po ba d2 may alam kung panu po gawin switch ung infrared?? ung tipong pag naputol ung light nung infra saka mag ON ung circuits??  mayroon po kayang schematic un?? tnx!

yung kinuha kong detector para sa IR is galing sa remote control receiver ng isang sirang DVD player

madami nga info nito sa net ... dito ko rin nakuha ang info nung gumawa ako ng infrared remote control extender

yung mga receiver na ginagamit ng mga devices, meron na silang built-in na 38kHz filter kasi yung transmitter sa remore control ay 38kHz ang base frequency

meron sa alexan both transmitter at receiver ... the transmitter is plain inrared diode, while the receiver is a 3-terminal device (5V,gnd, & Vout)

you may, of course, opt to use the basic infrared photodiode/phototransistor as reciever

howwever, i think it is better to use the infrared receiver module with built-in filter so that you would not have to worry about false triggering, and just need usual 5V supply ... the transmitter can be easily built with 555 timer ic to provide the 38kHz drive ... when the 38kHz infrared beam is interrupted, the output of the receiver will be 0 volt logic level

pnu po b xa magagamit as switch for the 74ls190.. gagawa po kasi kme ng counter..

gnito po kasi un.. may 7segment display.. tas 74ls47  n driver, then connected po sa 74ls190 decade counter.. gagawin po hanggang 10 lng ang count.. and then every pass dun sa ir diode eh mag increment sa 7 segment n display..

san ko po kaya icoconect un IR n un? nun ginawa po kasi nmin,, random po ang labas nya sa 7segment.. hindi po un increment lng ng by 1..

tapos sa input nyo sa pin14 clk. lagyan nyo muna ng switch tapos pull-up(10K) + capacitor for debounce muna. pag napagana nyo na, doon nyo na ipasok ang IR ckt nyo...

yung capacitor is para lang sa bounce ng mechanical switch. pero kung IR tapos phototransistor, pwede na pull-up resistor na lang...

tsaka po. do i have to connect the photo transistor sa isang 74LS04 (inverter) ?? kasi po un ang pinakita smin ng prof eh.. ang + nun phototransistor sa pin1 ng 74LS04, then pin2 is connected to pin3.. then ung sa pin4 ang output papuntang 74LS190??

usually ang ginagawa ko eh may nakaseries na 10k sa between the power supply (usually 5V) at collector ng phototransistor tapos ung emitter sa ground. tapos ang output eh sa collector pin ng phototransistor. if wla ir present near to 5v ang output, then if IR is present near to ground ang output. To invert the logic I use an inverter.
