sa tingin nyo? eto ang processor name nila if in case Q6600 at E8400.

nga pala, di ko kasi alam kung saan ko to ilalagay... hehehe

eto din comparison chart galing sa intel mismo..
http://compare.intel.com/pcc/showchart.aspx?mmID=885492,33869&familyID=1&culture=en-US
kaso, what the hell... di ko naman maintindihan. di naman sinabi na mas magaling yung isa sa isa... hehehe

at isa pa nga pala, halos magkalapit kasi ang presyo ng processor na yan... kaya yan ang kinucompare ko.
so, any comment?

Depende yan sa applications na gagamitin mo sa pc mo.  Kung for pc gaming, go for speed and get the e8400.  If you want to run several applications at the same time, go for the Q6600.

The Core 2 Duo is more advantage with regards to clock-speed (3GHz) over Core 2 Quad (2.4GHz) and bus frequency making this 'robust' in many applications..Hence, if speed is issue then go for Core 2 Duo..

On the other hand, Core 2 Quad 'literally' uses 4 processors hence, this makes them 'powerful' in many 'Monster' applications and since it uses 4 processors then there's no need to say 'literally' that the cache will be bigger than core 2 duo.. but the 'price-to-pay' of course is the heat dissipation for this processor..

However, kung gagamitin lang ung computer for internet, emails, office applications (word, excel, powerpoint..), etc.. then i guess P4 can do the job.. 'maximum usage at less cost'

Most of computers with Windows Vista OS are using Core 2's processors.. pero kung ako tatanungin ok na 'ko sa winXP SP2 or SP3 with P4's..

In my opinion, ndi naman kasi lahat ng 'power ng CPU' ay nagagamit in most of our applications..

yan na... mas nalilito na ako! hehehe... this is a simple example of what you know will 'literally' confuse you.

with the above comparison, i think i will still be picking Q6600... i am into computing power than speed... but isn't 2.4G fast enough for games?

nakakalito na talga. hehehe

We must also think the budget.. kung magkano ba ang kakayanin ng ating bulsa.. mas mahal ang core 2 quad kesa core 2 duo.. pero kung kaya naman ng budget and 'power' is the optimal issue then we go for 'quad'..

but if we want to be 'economical and practical' then i guess 'duo' can handle the job..

di naman kasi nagkakalayo yung price nyang dalawa... naisip ko din yang pwede namang magawa ng duo yung trabaho kaya nga nagpapatulong ako sainyo kung ano naman talga ang difference nyang dalawa. ;D

Processors are usually evaluated in terms of performance from different applications in different perspectives and in different sets of tests..and also with the performance of microcontrollers like for example the blackfin v/s the renesas mcu..

try na lang natin hanapin ung benchmark tests of different cpu's over the 'net..usually ang mga nag-coconduct ng 'benchmarking' test ay mga '3rd-party' like pcmag, tom's hardware, pcguide, etc..i'm sure meron iyan for core 2 duo and core 2 quad regarding their performances in games, etc..
