Help po: project electronic parts

Good Day po,

My group and I (in a student proj) are making project from the internet, it uses a microcontroller and a sonar like to detect the distance between the gadget and a thing for example a wall.

we have a problem on the some of the parts listed that is needed in completing the project:

the project uses this:
Ultrasonic Tx  : Ultrasonic piezo sounder   <-- first time to hear it
Ultrasonic RX : microphone    <-- don't know if just a regular microphone can do it

and so he also mentioned that the gadget uses this 40kHz ultrasonic transducer...

i tried asking gismo and alexan but they don't have any, maybe just asking for the wrong part name or its an uncommon name,

any suggestions on what i can do, replace it of something equivalent(what?)

the part number is MA40LIR for the receiver and MA40LIS for the transmitter..

Ultrasonic Piezo sounder 1 WD1 / transducer is basically a pcb type mounted like speaker (black / round compact type) that can emit a very piercing sound compare to an ordinary speaker. This is not an ordinary part that you can easily see or buy in any electronic store. This is commonly used in fire alarm system panel and other devices that require to produce a very loud piercing sound when a system sense an alarm. It is also being used in some underground cable / pipe tester / locator etc.... This can be 5, 12, 24 or 48VDC. Try using temporarily the speaker like sounder being used in some computer boards.
