Sis,  PM na ako sa iyo about the price.

At, diyaske, minsan nagmamaka-awa pa dahil daw may "quota". Nakakalungkot na nakakainis.

Ang unang hirit palagi ng mga yan, anything with a value of at least 50 USD is taxable. Of course they will not attempt to explain to you about exemptions. By the way, according to section 84.71 of Executive Order 574, computers are duty free (0%).

Pero, ligtas ka man sa duty, be prepared for the 12% EVAT.

I will look it in an engineering way, not that I'm an android developer FW/HW engr. so i support and vote for android but in engineering way, Cost and Support is part of the main issue. Obviously android phones are half way cheaper than apple phones and its supports more hardware, firmware and software than apple. Android FTW! :)

eto sa windows phone. before i shifted to hungdroid.

kung gusto ng maraming apps (plus mas maraming compatible apps) at medyo mas user-friendly (konti lang ang options), go for iPhone. kung mas gusto ang customization (and a little less apps), go for Android.
