Eo...I'm working on an undergrad project right now bout controlling devices via SMS..Mejo gasgas na projek na po to kaso un nirecommend ng adviser namen total bago pa lng naman school namin..In terms of cost definitely mas mura CP..capabilities wise halos ala b pagkkaiba ung 2??..kung meron meron kau irrecommend na CP or GSM module anu po ok na bilhin at san mkkbili??..THANKS A LOT..

ang ginagamit ko dyan 3310 or 3315 using fbus protocol o kaya 6210 or 6310 using AT commands, parehong madali lang gamitin na pang SMS send or receive.

pwede kayang pahingi ng sample code showing the interface of a N6210 and a Mcu? kunwari, having a high input level input sa isang input, magtetext na yung phone. or pabalik, a recieved text give a high output sa isang port. This way, madaling maimagine kung papano gagawin. Patingin naman...

Salamat sa mga nagrep..CP n gagamitin namin..mahal ang module..hehe..

BTW, has anyone tried using z8 MCU??..Un kasi balak kong kong gamitin..hindi lng kc basta on and off ggwin ko..try kong gawen n mgssend back ng sms ung control unit for status completion..bka d kyanin ng memory ng PIC..any suggestions?..

at ska eto p,..I dont have any idea yet how to interface n3310 with z8 or any uC..bowi pa me..need help..
san b pede mgstart?
..napaaga kasi paggawa ng undergrad project namen..4th year palang pukpok n kagad..haaay...

Using a GSM modem is easy but costs more.
Using CP maybe difficult but cheaper.

But some phones support native "AT" commands like ericcson T68 or T610.
You may still find these old cheap phones in the market.

For Nokia, it is not trivial. There are 2 protocols that it supports.
FBUS, which is 115200bps baud and MBUS 9600bps rate.
Some processors may not be able to process 115200 bps because it is too fast so MBUS is recommended.

One gotcha of MBUS is it is using only 1 line for RX and TX. Your commands will echo after sending them and you must consider this.
