where do you get projects

I am thinking on how to get a paid project. But i dont know where to get one. and how to get a trust from someone stranger to you. I tried a project based work once but it was from my previous employer so magkakilala kami. Medyo lugi pa nga kasi matagal natapos pero ok lang. sa freelancer site, sobrang baba ang bid at budget kaya di ko alam kung totoo mga yun... magnda sanang sideline. hehehe

same here pards.. Im also a freelance programmer and also doing embedded design projects.. I am also looking for freelance projects to work with.. may mga nakita ako pero ndi competent ung offer $$$..

^outsourced dapat para mas malakit pero mas malufet kumuha ng outsourced ang mga indian engineers kasi mas mababa sila sumingil kaysa satin....

-underpazz campaigns for more technical post on technical threads

kailangan lang maraming contacts. hindi naman kaagad-agad nabi-build 'yun. tapos 'yung contacts pwedeng magkaroon ng referrals. hindi pwedeng sa project lang matatapos ang relationship niyo.

Yon nga lang mahirap makakuha ng contacts ngayon, lalo na sa dami ng comptetion at anjan pa ang mainland china, umaangal na nga rin ang mga chinese taipei kasi ang baba rin nila sumingil.

The right question siguro is, paano makakakuha ng contacts? ;)

previous employer ang isang magandang contact... yun ay kapag nag a-outsource sila:) ang mahirap lang kasi kapag malalaking company, di pwede ang tao lang.. kelangan company kasi ma audit ang flow ng pera nila. So establish mo company mo kahit mag isa ka lang?

madali naman mag-setup ng company at madali rin mag-declare ng no income. ;D

contacts, manggagaling sa contact ng contact, etc., etc. ;D pwede rin galing sa tatay (freelancer kasi tatay ko simula pa nung bata ako). ;D

'yung relationship, client - provider. tulad ng mga luxury car companies, kapag nakabenta sila hindi doon matatapos. padadalhan ng birthday card, etc.
