If it is a windows XP, I strongly suggest to re format it but if there are very Important datas inside then I suggest to borrow a external hard disk casing and try to retrive first the important datas before going to format it.

Also as a cross referrence please try to check the links that sir ajak provided above. Thanks and kindly reply to this thread if needed further assistance or for any feedback on what happen with the issue.

kill ko windows explorer(sa task manager) then nagstart ako ng bago session, di ko maalala kung sa safe mode ko to ginawa.

Baka NTLDR? madalli lang yan.

repair mo os mo using 1st repair..

on command line type mo lang "fixboot" and follow the instruction..

repair m lng OS mo.. ung leave with no changes na option pra d magalw ung mga files mo... or kung marunong ka.. pag boot mo 1st boot ung cd... dir mo ung drive... hanapin mu dun ung ntldr.. tpus copy mu xa using DOS commands..p aste mu  dun sa win32 if im not mistaken.. d ko lamg kung gmgna yan sa XP sa wind2000 ko p ln yan na try..

my cra po ung hardisk na nya po! replace hard disk. magagamit mo pa un pero partition mo n lng!

^ not necessarily sira 'yung hard disk kapag na-encounter 'to. twice ko nang na-encounter at repairable naman, una, noong nag-brownout ng biglaan (probably may ginagawa 'yung hard disk sa C:), pangalawa, nung nabura ng Linux 'yung NTLDR sa Primary Partition (hindi natapos 'yung resize sa Partition Editor).

na-post na ata 'yung solution sa ibang thread, simple lang naman i-solve.

1. pasok sa Recovery Console ng Windows Setup CD
2. pumunta sa drive ng CD at pumunta sa directory ng i386
3. kopyahin 'yung NTLDR at NTDETECT.COM sa Primary Drive (C:)
(after copying linalagay ko 'yung attribute sa atrrib +r +s +h nung dalawang file)
4. i-run ang FIXMBR at FIXBOOT
5. kung walang boot.ini doon sa C:, run BOOTCFG (medyo matagal 'to) tapos piliin 'yung drive kung nasaan 'yung Windows installation

6. (for Linux users na nagdu-dual boot) kapag fresh install 'yung Linux at napatungan niya 'yung Primary, 'di niya nakita na merong Windows kaya wala sa grub

just add these lines sa grub configuration file

title Windows
rootnoverify (hdx,0)
map (hd0) (hdx)
map (hdx) (hd0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

kung napatungan kasi ng Linux 'yung NTLDR, most probably wala sa Primary Partition 'yung Windows kaya kailangang i-map sa hd0.

ngayon gamit ko pa rin 'yung Windows na naka-encounter niyan.

tama po arrange mo lang ung boot sequence, CD/DVD Drive sa 1st boot device, then insert mo lang yung original installer cd, magboboot na yan sa CD/DVD tas lalabas yung windows setup na may 3 options piliin mo lang yung "to repair windows installation using recovery console, press R"... 8-)
