First code to try.
' Check PortB bit 0-3 and output it to PortD bit 0-3

   Device 16F877         ' Declare Device
   XTAL = 20          ' Use a 20MHz crystal
   ALL_DIGITAL = TRUE      ' Set analog pins to digital
   Input PORTB         ' Define PortB as input
   Output PORTD         ' Define PortA as output
   Clear PORTD         ' Clear Port A

LOOP:    PORTD.0   = PORTB.0      ' PortA.0 state same as PortB.0
   PORTD.1   = PORTB.1      ' PortA.1 state same as PortB.1
   PORTD.2   = PORTB.2      ' PortA.2 state same as PortB.2
   PORTD.3   = PORTB.3      ' PortA.3 state same as PortB.3
   DelayMS 100         ' Delay 100mS (Debounce)
   GoTo LOOP         ' Check input forever
