Nakakalula tong thesis na to lalu na kung undergraduate thesis.

Sa aking pagbubutingting sa loob ng mga Sat STBs at mga dvd players, puros ASIC chips ang gamit dito (MPUs dedicated for video processing and decoding) and these MPUs usually comes in pairs.

microprocessor din 'yang mga 'yan. kailangan kasi ng megabits of RAM para mag-decode ng video. ang microcontroller, maliliit lang ang RAM.


So u mean that hindi talaga pwedeng gumamit ng mcu pra s mga video players?? kelangan tlaga microprocessor??

pwede, pero kailangan meron pa ring MMU 'yung MCU para ma-expand 'yung memories. ang fastest MCU as of now is only 100Mhz (AFAIK) dahil sa limitation ng Flash.

hindi talaga madali 'tong project na 'to kahit meron pa kayong isang taon. aside from the processor, kailangan niyo pa ng encoders.

may na release nang 200Mhz ang Philips 32bit MCU based on ARM9 Core and another is the Renesas MCU SH725xx (greater than 100Mhz) which is used now in high-speed trains in germany and france..

ndi ko lang maalala kung saang article ko un nabasa..

ah meron na pala. ;D ang last kasi na nabasa ko 'yung M3 ng NXP na umabot ng 100MHz ++ dahil sa revision ng Flash. bagong Flash technology rin gamit?
