TRS Connector Stereo to Mono
« on: February 18, 2009, 01:28:58 PM »
Background of the Problem:

I have a single channel output that I want to connect to the mike input of my soundcard. I have a spare pair of stereo TRS connectors that I want to use (nakakatamad lumabas at bumili ng mono connector, magastos pa...  ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Statement of teh Problem:

How do I wire the my stereo TRS connector to take only a single channel? Specifically, do I connect the RING to GROUND or do I just leave the RING hanging?

Thanks  :D :D

:)

safer kung sa line in na lang no? but problem dun is stereo naman ang tinatanggap ng line in. eh yung signal ko mula sa lm386 mini amp ng guitara ko. May gusto kasi akong i test na guitar amp simulator hehehe :D

@woots
it's just a cheap cmi8738 card. gusto ko lang walang distortion ang signal na pumapasok mula sa guitara para ang guitar amp simulator ang mismong magdidistort. (Gusto ko lang kasing malaman what's the big deal with tube amps hehe but that's for another thread. )  ;D ;D ;D ;D

ty ulit :D
