Alam ko di lahat ng single phase kwhr meter ay meron power factor adjustment. kung wala dun talaga may savings, since voltage and current lang sila nakabase. Pero sige try ko i-ask mga former colleagues ko at meralco kung anong type ng meters ang meron sila

electric meters used by meralco are those GE revenue meters, power ang computation, regardless of low or high power facotr. the digital meters can measure power facotr sa bahay pero hindi kasama sa billing

if the meter is not designed to handle interharmonics (like those coming from a welding machine), puedeng magkamali ang reading pero hindi dapat masira. household meters are not big enough to handle large loads like welding machines. and there is always that chance na baka pati kuryente ng kapitbahay mo ay affected ng welding machine mo.

for residential purposes walang savings. power factor correction increases the efficiency of loads against rated power. residential meters are based on "kilowatt" consumption therefore, increase power then you increase consumption.

alam ko nasa 10 to 20 amps lang ang capacity ng isang normal residential meter. depnde sa laki ng loads mo na submitted sa meralco. kapag hindi specified na may welding machine ka, malamang undersized ang CT ng electric meter mo

wala kasing interharmonic mitigating device between your main disconnect and your neighbor's. sa large industrial setting, ang mga planta na gumagamit ng higanteng arc furnace ay binibigyan ng sariling transformer para hindi makaistorbo sa mga "kapitbahay" nya

korek, lalo na kapag digital meter. dont know about the old analog meters though. sa metro ko ay 20 amps ang naka install, according to the meter nameplate
