Pwede po ba dito mag post ng observation using Elab PICKIT 2? Paki transfer na lang po if ever na mali ang posting.Is there somebody who experienced "intermittent" detection, read and write of PIC board/chip attached to PICKIT2? Here are some of the details.1.0 I have the last piece PICKIT 2 from marce sometime 2009. Now ko lang na try after being busy for sometime.2.0 I have a demo board with 877a and another for 628a. Meron din ako 1x 628a sa breadboard na ginawa ko for isolation purpose.3.0 I used PICKIT 2 apps. Same din naman ang observation din sa IDE.4.0 I think PICKIT apps were able to see the PICKIT board. Kasi kita nya ang board ID. All leds seems doing their thing as indicators.5.0 Laptop USB Vdd reads 4.72V with target board connected. Thats is when VDD check box is checked. MCLR also works as I see the toggling of MCLR pin while toggling the the check box.6.0 Tried ko rin sa isang mini PC ( atom n270 na asus EEBOX). Halos same observation.7.0 Hindi ko na try sa std desktop kasi wala ako.Baka lang po meron kayo recommendation.
@ tiktak and @ alyasthanks to your speedy reply.yes, gawa ko yung pcb. patterned sa ckt ni Sir Paranz. gumawa rin ako ng breadboard version para meron comparison ang PCB ko for isolation. parehas lang observations.one common observation sa inyo is yung cable length. abt 14inches yata ito. similar cable na ginamit namin sa Gizmo workshop using eICD2/ePICKIT2. Dun ko rin binili ang cable. Ok naman dun. Anyway, yung intermittent nga eh kahit sa unitial querry ng device ID. Tapos sa verification or kahit sa read, intermittent din. Gumagana na ang application ko sa PICF628a, tapos nag read ako from PIC mem eh minsan mali, minsan tama ang result.Isasama ko po sa isolation ko ang mga inputs nyo. By Tues am, pasyal din ako kay @Akhen for board level isolation. Hindi ko pa kasi nakitang gumana in actual ang Elab PICKIT2 ko.
Thanks to @AkhenUpdate:Board level isolation leads to my ELab PICkit2. Humn, kailangan na siguro comp level trouble shooting he he he. My new board and breadboard circuit works as expected.Mahahanap muna ako ng component placement diagram dito sa thread. Any help will be appreciated.AV973
Problem solved...Vpp (boosted supply ) cannot pass thru and reached ICSP connector due to faulty ( end cap mech defect ) R27. Thus, 2 xtors were not driven to let Vpp pass thru...just to share the experience...
naencounter nyo na ba tong error na to: PICkit2 was unable to establish a valid Vdd on the target (attempted 5.00V - Read 0.25V)?Ngayon ko lang naencounter to with my pikit2 clone...
To those interested, I'm selling my spare elab pikit2 pc board. Sayang at di ko na magagamit as I have no more plans to build another one at meron na rin akong original pickit2 aside from my elab pikit2. Since 100 pesos lang naman ito, meetup lang sa Megamall every sunday at around 4:30pm.
