sa ME Handbook, IIRC, may discussion nito.

simply put, 'yung iniinitan ang secondary ng incomplete transformer nung winding. mataas ang frequency nito para maging lossy sa bakal at mag-init.

Nice links.

Na encounter ko itong inductive heating twice in my long history of projects. The first time was for a heat treatment machine to harden some automotive parts like bearings and gears. The second one was for a water heater.

The heat treatment machine use high power SCR oscillators. The second one is similar to an induction cooker. It used an IGBT half bridge module to drive the coil.

In both cases, be prepared to shell out cash for expensive high power devices. In addition to high electricity bills...

Kung 1K na lang ang induction cooker, that is probably the best way to get parts. Buy one and take the parts for your project.
