i suggest sa USB ka nalang kumuha... though, it could only supply up to 500mA (per port).

it is not that good to get a supply on serial. you would still be needing a transceiver for that (max232 or transistor equivalent).

i have a max232 connected.

then hit it...

be careful not to have a short on the pins. it could permanently damage your serial port!

ganito kasi yan....

most pins in your serial ports like pins 3 and 4 (8 and 9, i guess, and i am not sure with the direction) gives off around -11V. kapag pinadaan mo yan sa max232 magiging 5V yan...

the easiest way is using your USB.

di ba by default low yan (-11.XX, just measured it. heheh )

i traced your image sis parans, got it here: http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/rspower.html

mababa lang pala ang pwedeng makuha. typical of 10mA lang. pero di ko pa din makuha kung papano iseset high ang DTR/RTS as high.

@kutonglupa, sorry pwde pala.

pero i still insist of pushing you using USB. heheheh :D
10mA, pang LED lang yan eh. :)

tama, as i suspected, software ang magpapaON.

i have a max232 connected.
