Component side of PCB: How to print labels?
« on: March 03, 2009, 03:44:04 AM »
There are numerous articles here in this forum, as well as in the internet, on how to create a PCB form schematic upto etching.

I'm curious however, what is/are the best way/s to put labels on the component side ng PCB (on a single sided PCB, say using presentisized PCB)...  using a silkscreen is quite too much since lalo na kung isang board lang ang gagawin (hindi mass produced)...  another option may be to also etch the copper on a double sided PCB (component side only marking the components like C1, R1, etc.. ).. although this may have side effects...

any other ways?

Try toner transfer, it is not the best but has acceptable result. Laserjet toner is water resistant so you dont have to worry about it being wiped out easily. Other downside is that you have a component label in black.

Opo, ganun din po. Parehong proseso lang po. Mahirap din tanggalin yan kahit kaskasin pa yan.

somebody suggested dito sa forum on using iron-on transfer to print the component label. Hindi ko lang mahanap yung thread.

After printing the label on top of the PCB, you might want to protect it with a varnish or something similar
