Sa ACE at Handyman ko ata yan nakikita eh. Parehas lang din yan nung ibang nabibili. Pihadong ang laman lang nyan eh isang capacitor at IC para sa LEDs. ;D....

aha merong himala  ;D ;D ;D my digital ammeter show 6.8 amps without the gadget and 4.2 amps with gadget... hmmnn not bad  ;)

may detailed post and tests na niyan dito si sir Born2BeWired. bababa talaga ang current pero same pa rin ang power dahil power factor ang kino-correct nung capacitor na laman. ;)

oo tama ka dyan. kasi power correction yan pero observe mo kung ang subcription mo sa meralmo ehh residential wla kang ma titipid kasi ang residential subcription sa meralmo ehh wlang power factor sa bills

ang meron power factor correction lng yung sa commercial and industrial subcription from meralmo

NO POWER FACTOR CORRECTION SA BILLS = WLA DIN DISCOUNT  ;D ;D ;D

here is an actual experiment with the "power saver" using a BMI Dranetz Power Guide 4400

without the power saver



with the power saver



note that the actual power consumption INCREASED when the "power saver" was installed.

Welcome to the club bro.  I personally bought one 2 years ago dahil gusto ko makita ang nasa loob ng fancy led running lights display device na yan.  The main or the only  power savering component is a 4.75 uF capacitor use to correct the power factor.

Marami na rin mga masters dito have both theoretically and practically tested similar passive power factor correction devices and have come up with the conclusion that it does not save any power and sometimes even add additional power consumption.

My stand is and I still yet have to prove to myself is that it actually works but that the power savings gained is so insignificant to consider it a savings specially if you want to recover the investment paid for the device.
