with all due respect, we do have our own opinion on music and it is highly dependent on how we interpret an artist's work..being in the audio industry, i have heard lots of songs that pretty much have the same chord progressions, same groove and sometimes even within the same genre..but we cannot really tell whether one rips off its music from another just because of this..it's like saying that the basic pop chord progression G-Bm-Am-D should appear in the music industry only once, but there literally are hundreds of songs that uses this basic chords (including songs we have personally never heard)..even with complicated chord progressions, there are lots of ways to play them, but they play them by basic rules...and because music in general already exists for years, it is very impossible that one song would have no similarities with other songs...no offense meant, just my opinion...
