P.S...just want to clarify the truth of disabling the password of Deepfreez without knowing the set password..

thanx.that cud be possible coz thats unfreezer..what answer i need is that meron daw kasi isang click lang unfreeze na daw ung deepfreeze mo or meron daw website na pag na open mo yun eh na kaka unfreeze rin daw..kalokohan yata yan ano?hehe..kasi sa pagkaka alam ko once u install deepfreeze and u lost the password for unfreeze, u only have one option to recover it and that is using token password..besides on that reformat nalang OS mo pag lost password na talaga..

haha the first time I encountered deepfreeze I noticed its weakness. Its a kernel mode driver not like the old roxio/norton goback na nasa mbr installed. The first way to disable is backup all files then use gparted to removes windows partition then reinstall a fresh copy then copy back all files. The second is just boot from installer cd then reformat and install a fresh copy of windows then copy all backedup files.

Dati kasi dun sa roxio goback kaiht nareformat mo na yung drive may installed na software sa mbr making your windows non bootable unless you repartition. grrrr messes up your harddrive esp dual boot kasi di pa uso dati.

pwede for the newer kernels of linux na may ntfs3g kernel driver (kahit na luma basta compile nyo yung src ng ntfs3g). pwede na imount for read/write and ntfs partitions. kaya nga gamit yun to recover windows. hehe even remove the windows password from the registry.

all new linux distros now have ntfs3g. it is a freeware driver for mac and *nix based systems to mount an ntfs filesystem for read and write. Di ako sure sa osx if its built in the new snow leopard kasi I stick to linux and windows. I just use mac to publish the swf files for adobe flash kasi mac has better fonts  Anyway if you are searching for the windows registry hacking tool try it in google kasi dun ko unang nakita yun years ago. Hehe who would expect a linux registry editor for windows  meron pala this makes all windows security tools obsolete kasi through registry pwede silang disabled.

And may nabasa ako virus that messes with deepfreeze. Same approach ng unfreezer, they say. How true, or who encountered it already?
