HELP! Alarm for Digital Clock
« on: May 08, 2009, 09:32:53 PM »
can you please give us your idea how to display
ALARM and CURRENT TIME, using or not using multiplexers..

using TTL..we are using 4 Seven Segment Displays for both hours and minutes

12:00

this should how it works: for ex, your current time is 12:00AM and we want to set the alarm at 12:30AM, by using for example a switch we can change the display to its ALARM mode, and then after switching it again, the 7SegDisplay should display the current time..

we appreciate your help..

Pwede kayo mag-add ng isang LED indicating that the clock is in alarm setting. Pwede rin nman patigillin nyo yung colon sign to indicate na alarm setting mode kayo, then blink the colon every second in normal time mode.

Mukhang yung kailangan nyo ay merong MODE button. Yung tipong may alarm mode at current time mode tama po ba?
In that case, mukhang kumplekado yan using logic gates. Mas madali ata yan using MCU.

kung marunong lng kami gamit MCU bkt hndi..pure TTL lng, may alarm mode may time mode, nka relay switches un pareho..tas hiwalay p ung ALARM on/off..bale 5 switches ang gamit..

1. ALARM on/off (SPDT)
2. ALARM mode (relay switch)
3. TIME mode (relay switch)
4. HOUR (tack switch)
5. MINUTE (tack switch)

thanks po s opinions, we appreciate it..

hmmm...  medjo complikado tlaga kng TTL  kaysa sa MCU..

kung kailangan mung e-dispaly  yung Alarm set-up niya,   kailangan mu ng seperate switches to change the Display set-up for clock time & alarm set-up

:D

kpag ma set ng alarm, i hohold po ung relay switch nung alarm mode tapos ung display ma switch din sa alarm mode, kapag hinold off naman, bumabalik sa current time..ung ang part na mahirap kaya dun kmi humihingi ng ideas..same lng din sa pag set ng current time, gamit ung relay switch..

thanks sa opinions.. ^^

ang balak po kasi namin sa timer gumamit ng 74LS121 one-shot timer..mkakatulong din po ung sa timer neo..

pa help din pala po sa pag set up nung 74LS121 para sa clock pulse, para magsakton 1 second ang pulse..

thanks..
