saka 9346, 9356 & 9366 serial eeprom's..
ano naman kaya 'tong 3 na 'to ?  ???

yup... pag may time ako sa work check ko ang behavior ng serial port pag ginamit ang IC-Prog, tapos from the waveform sa oscilloscope we can come up with a circuit for programming SPI EEPROMs (or baka mareuse din natin ang JDM with little modifications)

uy.. thanks.. hihintayin namin 'to!  ;D
so bale, isa sa mga hardware modification is kelangan magdagdag ng programming pin
kasi yung JDM pang i2c lang ata..

You could use a serial flash and not an eeprom.  Serial flash have larger storage. We use an 8Megabit flash on one of our products.  That is 1 megabyte of flash.  The only disadvantage of flash compared to eeprom is that you could not re-write the value on a page.  You need to erase the whole page and re-write the entire page with the corrected value.

Why?
Serial flash chips now is cheap and common and is 8 pin only like eeproms.
For your usage that is for static pictures only, it is the right choice.

for practical reasons na rin siguro..
unlike kasi nung eeprom ko na kinuha ko lang sa amin (as in FREE ;D), bibili pa ko nito..
and kung bibili pa ko ng additional components, i will opt for better devices..
