Fluorescent Lamps in Series
« on: June 06, 2009, 09:26:52 AM »
I've open 1 insect killer unit. It has 2 FL and it was connected in series with 2 starter. When I check the rating of the starter it was rated at 110vac, 1 FL is not working and 1 starter is busted also. But when I replace it with a new starter and bulb the unit wont light. Could it be the starter? Do I need to find the same rating of it? (110vac) I think this is not common.....

My last resort is to rewire the whole unit add one more ballast or to find an electronic ballast with two bulb.....

BTW the unit is 220vac input....

china made? mas maganda to have 2 FL in parallel sa 220V than having 2 pieces of 110V lamps in series just to make it applicable to 220V

Kung gawin ko parallel eh magdagdag ako ng isang ballast pa. Eh medyo sikip na yung casing. China made to na starter. Di kilala ang pangalan. Ang isa pang naisip ko eh maghanap ako ng electronic ballast na pwedeng mag drive sa 2pcs na 10watts na FL.
