Driving a 9 Volts relay with 5 Volts?
« on: June 06, 2009, 02:53:28 PM »
Is it possible to drive a 9vdc relay with just a 5 volts supply? or a simple 5 to 9 volts converter?

You can use DCDC converter.

Simpler designs are usually better.

You may use 2N2222 NPN Transistor...

Mas sensitive xa...And fast..

Ayan din ginamit ko when I used to drive a relay(12V)pwede din ung (9V)...

sir wala bang higher voltage after the 5V supply (i pressumed u have 5v regulator)

Kas, pag my diode ok, pag wala ayaw... Try mo check working current ng signal diode baka out of specs sya...

another thing is a very simple smps.
http://cachefly.oreilly.com/make/wp_joule_thief.pdf

di ko alam kung bakit joule thief.
pero from 1.5 v to 3 v
don't have any idea to make it from 5 to 9v modify na lang po siguro.

He he he.
