Hello to all users of FTA Satellite receivers and Hobbyist, I would like to inform you about PhilDISH

Philippine Domestic Integrated Satellite Hobbyist - PhilDISH

PhilDISH is endorsed by hobbyist from filsat (www.filsat.com) and filhacks (www.filhacks.com) and it is now applying for registration under SEC to be consider as legal group/association.  Thanks to these forums.

Last May 29, 2009, there was a symposium  held in Lipa City, Batangas with NTC Regional Director Dir. Joselito Leynes and Engr. Ariel Padilla of NTC Broadcast divison along with Satellite Hobbyist from different parts of Luzon.  Thanks to the organizer, Satbat and Orshat of filsat, and thanks to all hobbyist who join and supported it.

PhilDISH if granted,  will proposed  its intended position which will benefits Satellite hobbyist and private viewers specially to opposed the bill of Sen. C. Escudero which prohibit FTA receivers.  With PhilDISH will give us the freedom to freely acquire hardware for private viewing, education, entertainment and  religion.  I hope it extend to the point that we can acquire also chipset and development tools for the sake of tehnology and for those practicing software and hardware engineer.

Sorry for the late update ---  PhilDISH is now SEC registered, it is now acknowledge by DTH provider like DREAM, CIGNAL and GSAT as a legitimate group who protect the value of education and hobby in the area of FTA Satellite.

Several Regions in the country formed the Regional Phildish (Region 1/CAR, Region 10, etc.....) already formed their group - following the formulation of Phildish Central based in Lipa City, Batanggas.

Last September 12, 2009 -- the first SATELYMPIC 09 held in blueroze Farm in Lipa City :
1.  Skill competition --- challenge the fastest Installer ever alive, finding satellite signal  without using equipments  both in Cband and Ku band

If you want to be a member,  PM me your location so that I can direct you of the correct Phildish Chapter,  I can provide as well the form.  The advantage of being a member is that, you will be given a certificate to posses a TVRO as long as your Antenna Systems do not exceed 50 pc Satellite Dishes.... we are now working this under NTC, and we hope that, NTC will grant our appeal.   Kasi, ang mga hobbyist, parehas ang binabayaran kung magtayo ka ng TVRO station (mag install ka ng Satellite Dishes) sa mga malalaking kumpanya gaya ng Telecom, broadcaster gaya ng ABS CBN, GMA or any other company who posses and isntall TVRO station, ....... ang appeal natin,  dapat napaka-baba o libre ang registration fee sa TVRO para sa mga hobbyist.   God Bless us all.

Hello Sir, let me correct the word "sabsab" - it should be "Satbat" to be exact, in case you are referring to login nickname of Phildish Pres. Central.

AGILA 2 Satellite with an orbital location of 146 degree East still there and transmitting about 15 or 16  FTA  TV programs, a quality DVB signal ,  entertainment like Karaoke TV, JCTV,  Religion for kiddy like SOAC, TBN,  Tagalog movies like FLIP-TV Learning by AMA computer College,   YR Asia in case you love Chinese speaking Mandarin,   and a lot more...... 

You can shoot other Satellite like NSS11  located at 108.2 degree East, or if you like to have US Militray program,  you can shoot NSS6 located at 95 degree East  with Pentagon channel,  probably you aim to PalapaC2/Koreast5 at 113 degree East in order for you to have a free boxing viewing of  Marquez this coming Sept. 19 (C band in TV one - transmitted by Indonesia, hopefully Indonesia is so kind to transmit it FREE, just like in those former boxing matches, I watch Hatton-Pacman last time for Free).

You can use also your Receiver to received several channels from Intelsat 10 located at 68 degree East  in C band and you can get around 25 FTA channels of Indian, Pakistan, Chinese and Korean varieties.

Your digisat HY 888  is one of the :
1)  Powerful receiver --- if you know how to use it
2)  Damn receiver   -- if you do not know how to use it

Iking Sir,  I just check the Filsat Statistics, you are very lucky really, aside from winning the Lucky draw of STM32 MINI + Debugger yesterday --------- you are the no.  17,764 member, and you are the latest member as of 2:27 PM on Valentines day (Feb. 14, 2010).

Try to get into it, medyo bumagal kaunti lalu ngayon araw na ito kasi may Boxing -- laban ni Donaire...   Filsat is the most visited website in Asia for Satellite hobby -- no question about that.

                  kaso wala pa po ako set up ,gusto ko po sana makakita ng actual set up at kasama d2 sa q.c. area b4 starting the hobby.
