ang confusing part dito, lalo na sa students, kung kailangan dapat impedance at kung kailan dapat admittance ang gamitin. :D

series analysis - dapat impedance / reactance

shunt analyis - dapat admittance / susceptance

naalala ko 'yung unang exam ko sa AC analysis ng Tank Circuit, sa impedance ko lahat sinolve pati 'yung shunts. ayun sakit sa ulo mag-divide ng complex numbers, imbes na additon na lang. :D

with RF and other short wavelengths, mostly, 'di na interested with voltages and currents, power na ang concern in which, maximum transfer is achieved via matching (source impedance = load impedance). kaya mostly working on impedance analysis na lang, hence, only working on impedances of series networks, and admittances of shunt networks, kaya 'yung Smith Chart merong Impedance and Admittance charts to simplify matching design ('di na kailangang mag-compute ng conjugate pairs.

Y = inverse Z may also not hold true with shorter wavelengths. j100 susceptance may act differently with two transmission lines having characteristic impedances of 50 ohms and 300 ohms respectively. kaya when solving using the Smith Chart, nino-normalize siya.

therefore

Z = Y

but if

Z equates Y

I = 0

and

V = Z x I = 0 = Y x I = 0

so
