for example...yung channel 2 namin eh parang nahahaluan ng channel 2 na supposedly for the cable subscribers lang...

kung yung nagtap ng cable accidentally naikabit sa antenna (or a long mesh of cable that could act as a good antenna) makikita po ito ng kapitbahay niyo...

dude...pde mo ring gawin...mag sampay ka ng coax cable sa linya ng catv sa tapat ng bahay mo then i terminate mo sa rf in ng tv mo. :-)..
then d rf leak goes into ur tv..
in principle:cables act as a Rx n Tx antenna.

may ginawa kami noon ng kaibigan ko parang sort of katuwaan lang gumawa kami ng dipole antenna then set up namin sa bakod niya, kasi naka tapat mismo sa bakod nya yung cable wire tinapat namin of about 5 inches below sa cable wire yung dipole at naka kuha sya ng signal hanggang ngayon gamit nya.. lol ...free cable for life, tinanong namin yung cable technician kung bawal yun at ang sabi nya hindi naman bawal as long as yung wire mo hindi siya naka lagay sa splitter nila.
it ng sa si go lak

RF leakage is the usual culprit sa mga ganyan situation, causes can be corrosion, dew, cheap coax, shield ineffective, SWR, etc.

Sa probinsya some people there actually hang a piece of wire sa coax line na malapit sa house nila to get cable programs.  And normally most cable operators tolerate this, as long as you do not cut through the cable or tap on the splitter.

Dati sinubukan namin dito sa Manila yung magpatong ng wire, the signals from the cable are swamped by the local stations kaya wala rin hehehehe

its a good experiment!!!! pero tama un!!!
