need help welding circuit how to varry current to reduce weld

pashare  nman mga boss  na expert sa welding circuit ung variable current ...maadjust thru potentiometer or other controller...malakas po kc weld or hindi consistent minsan ...ty po

not practical to control the huge  current by semicons. The way it is done is choosing the number of turns in the secondary. STill another way is for the core being moved in the transformer. Study Daidens and Mitsubishi welding machines. I have the latter, 150 amps. I also have a Mig welding machine, Hobart Handler 150.

If the problem is inconsistency of the weld, there are several factors to consider.  Do not right away try to solve the problem by modifying your welder.

The type of welding rods, their age or exposure to humidity can vary the weld quality.  The source or your AC mains supply might not be stable, therefore varying your weld consistency.

Old welding machines (I don't know about the new ones) used to have a reactive core or inductor to stabilize the current.

madali lang mag control nang current nang welding machine. specially with SCRs but kelangan nang konting rNd. obvious na hindi mag current control sa secondary side. since i don't think meron semicon that could handle that much current. sa primary which is high voltage and low current pwede mag control.

and i don't think na may SIMPLE circuit.

try mo muna mag experiment using salt water resistor.

Saan mo gagamitin ang welding? Di parepareho ang circuit. Depende sa gamit.

baka thyristor pwede. kaso saan ka bibili ng thyristor that can handle hundreds of ampere. mangangahoy ka sa sirang VFD or sirang 20 to 250 KVA UPS or di kaya sa mga sirang VRF aircons....

mag series ka ng inductor sa primary sigurado bagsak amperahe sa secondary....wag mo nag parirapan sarili mo. welding machine lang yan... ;D
